Seller note:

Year: 1979 Make: Spirit Length: 28 feet Beam: 10 feet Engine: 15 hp Yanmar Diesel This sailboat has been part of my family since I was 2 years old and sadly it has now come time to let someone else enjoy it. The boat has been used every summer ever since it was bought in 1982. Is still a very safe and sound boat to operate and has many years left in her. She has been hauled and covered every winter. She received a fresh gel coat and anti fowling treatment spring of 2011 on its hull. This boat is extremely spacious for a 28 footer with its 10 foot beam. It's not the fastest sailboat but it's definitely one of the sturdiest and biggest in its class. I have been in 5-6 foot swells on Lake Champlain with no problems whatsoever. The v-berth sleeps 2, the main saloon has a fold out berth that also sleeps 2 and there is a single berth in the aft. The galley is equipped with an ice box, a sink, a stove (not connected) and many drawers for galley items. The main saloon has plenty of storage place behind the seating, a fold out table and a half closet. The head has a sink and a fixed pump toilet. What the boat comes with: 4 brand new fenders (black) + 2 older ones (white) Brand new dock lines Brand new shore power (50 feet - 30 amps) VHF CD player 2 Sony explode speakers Main sail and jib sail BBQ Dodger Bimini Depths/Speedometer/Wind Speed and direction electronic gauge/reader Plates, bowls, utensils, cups all of the same set 2 anchors + 20 foot chain and rope Cockpit table 6 or more life vest Ok now to the not so fun part. . ..explaining what needs attention: All the halyards are original and are showing wear Mainsail ripped bellow the reef line this past summer. . .still can be used but reefed only Jibsail needs to be re-stitched on its outer edge but other than that it's still good Depth, speedometer and wind speed gauge is relatively new but something likely faulted because it keeps ringing and showing error. . .so disconnected it. . ..likely a sensor issue Electrical circuit for accessories such as CD player (relatively new head unit and 2 Sony explode speakers) and VHF needs to be looked at. . .for some weird reason it stopped working this summer! Galley stove not connected Hot water tank not connected Hatch under boom needs to be re caulked Port and starboard hatches should eventually be replaced Port side deck has a weak spot (starting to be noticeable). . .think it's because stay fitting bracket at deck connection needs to be caulked. . .all of them do Furler system needs a tune up. . .pulley at the top is cracked Upholstery inside the boat and cabins needs to be glued or changed at certain spots Electrical outlets in the boat don't seem to work when plugged to shore power. . .could have something to do with same issue having with accessories Dodger needs to be stitched at some spots or even better replaced by a new one Bimini zipper teeth have all snapped off with time The boat has recently been surveyed and the report can be provided. All of the urgent repairs have been done and the boat is insurable.
